When Is the Best Time to Book a Newborn Photography Session?

If you're expecting a baby and wondering when to book your newborn photography session, the best time is usually during your second trimester.

At Hannah Elizabeth Photography, I pencil in a tentative newborn session date for approximately three weeks after your due date. Once your baby arrives, we'll confirm the exact date, so there's flexibility if your little one decides to arrive early or late.

My newborn photography sessions take place in my studio in Lydney, Forest of Dean, Gloucestershire. Sessions are relaxed, baby-led and typically last 2–4 hours, giving us plenty of time for feeding, cuddles, changing and settling.

You don't need to worry about your baby sleeping for the entire session. Some babies sleep peacefully, while others prefer to stay awake and take everything in. We simply follow their lead.

Your session includes beautiful individual newborn portraits, as well as family and sibling photographs. I provide the wraps, outfits and simple props, so there is no need to worry about bringing lots of things with you.

Every session also includes all professionally edited digital images in your private online gallery, with no additional image purchases required.

If you've only just discovered me during your pregnancy, or your baby has already arrived, please still get in touch. If I have availability, I'll always do my best to fit you in.

For families looking for a newborn photographer in Lydney, the Forest of Dean or Gloucestershire, my aim is to create beautiful, timeless photographs while keeping the experience calm and unhurried.

Those first few weeks pass incredibly quickly. Your baby's tiny fingers, sleepy expressions and the way they fit perfectly into your arms will change before you know it.

If you're expecting a little one and would love to capture these precious first days, find out more about my newborn photography sessions and book at www.hannahelizabethphotography.co.uk.
