Newborn Photography in the Forest of Dean
There is something especially lovely about photographing a newborn, but it feels even more special when I have photographed their family before. This little boy came to my Lydney studio for his newborn photography session, and I had the pleasure of photographing his big sister as a newborn too.
For his session, we kept things simple with beautiful blue and white tones, creating timeless photographs that keep the focus on him and his family. My newborn sessions are relaxed, baby-led and unhurried, with plenty of time for feeding, cuddles and settling whenever needed.
As well as capturing those tiny newborn details, we made sure to include photographs with his big sister. I love including siblings in newborn sessions because these images capture the very beginning of their relationship. One day, these photographs will be a beautiful reminder of just how small they both once were and the moment their family grew.
Newborn photography isn't just about photographs of your baby. It's about capturing your family together during a fleeting stage that changes so quickly. Tiny fingers, sleepy expressions, cuddles and the way your baby fits perfectly into your arms all become precious memories as they grow.
My studio newborn sessions are suitable for families in Lydney, the Forest of Dean and across Gloucestershire. Sessions last around 2–4 hours and are completely baby-led, allowing plenty of time for baby-only portraits as well as family and sibling photographs. All wraps, outfits and simple props are provided, and every session includes all professionally edited digital images in your private online gallery.
I recommend booking during your second trimester to reserve your place, with a tentative session date planned for around three weeks after your due date. Once your baby arrives, we confirm the exact date, allowing flexibility for early or late arrivals. If your baby has already arrived and you've only just found me, please still get in touch and I'll do my best to fit you in if I have availability.
