From Newborn to Sitter | Watching Dolcie Grow | Forest of Dean Baby Photographer
One of my favourite parts of being a baby photographer is seeing little ones return to the studio as they grow.
Meeting families during their newborn session is always special, but welcoming them back a few months later for their sitter session is a real reminder of just how quickly babies change.
Dolcie recently returned to my Lydney studio for her sitter session, and I couldn't believe how much she'd grown since her newborn photographs. Those tiny sleepy cuddles have been replaced with gorgeous smiles, curious expressions and the confidence to sit up independently.
The first year of a baby's life passes by in the blink of an eye, which is exactly why I love offering my Baby's First Year Collection. Rather than documenting just one milestone, families can capture their baby's journey from those precious newborn days, through their sitter session at around 6–9 months, and finally celebrate their very first birthday.
Looking back at newborn and sitter photographs side by side really shows just how much changes in such a short space of time. It's a privilege to create these memories for families and watch their little ones grow.
If you're expecting a baby and would love to document every milestone, my Baby's First Year Collection includes:
Studio Newborn Session
Sitter Session (6–9 months)
First Birthday Session
It's the perfect way to preserve your baby's incredible first year and create a collection of photographs you'll treasure forever.
I'm based in Lydney, Forest of Dean, Gloucestershire, welcoming families from across the Forest of Dean, Gloucestershire, Monmouthshire, Chepstow, Newport, Ross-on-Wye and the surrounding areas for newborn, sitter and first birthday photography.
I'm currently booking due dates up to December 2026.
