Barnfest 2025

Last weekend, I had the privilege of photographing BarnFest, a two-day event hosted in the beautiful countryside of Newent, Gloucestershire. Organised by several local churches under the Counties Connect umbrella, the festival brought together campers, families, and faith communities for a weekend full of fun, fellowship, and inspiration.

As tents began to pop up across the field, guests were welcomed with a light lunch of pasties—the perfect start to an event that promised both warmth and energy. The festival soon came alive with games, inflatables, and plenty of laughter echoing through the air.

One of the highlights of the first day was a seminar led by Rachel Jordan-Wolf, whose heartfelt message set a thoughtful and uplifting tone for the weekend. As the sun dipped below the horizon, we gathered for a BBQ dinner, followed by an evening meeting with guest speaker J.John, who brought his signature blend of humour, insight, and encouragement.

Day two began on a sweet note—with waffles and worship! The morning continued with another powerful session led by J.John, drawing the crowd together in reflection and shared purpose. The event concluded with a hog roast feast, a fitting end to a weekend that fed both body and soul.

BarnFest was more than just a festival—it was a celebration of faith, community, and connection. I'm so grateful to have been invited to capture the spirit of the weekend through my lens. It was a joy to witness and photograph the moments—big and small—that made BarnFest 2025 truly special.

Although this type of shoot is a bit different from my usual work, as a Christian photographer I’m open to more opportunities like this to capture the heart of the Church through my lens—just get in touch.
